Early Life and Background

Alfie Deyes was born in Enfield, London, and moved to Brighton, East Sussex, at the age of four. He attended Varndean School and later Varndean College in Brighton. Although he had the opportunity to attend university, Alfie chose to take a gap year to travel, eventually deciding to pursue a career in YouTube instead of higher education.

Rise to YouTube Stardom

Alfie began his YouTube journey in 2009 with the channel PointlessBlog, where he shared observational humor and lifestyle content. His engaging personality and relatable videos quickly garnered a large following. As of April 2025, his main channel has over 4.5 million subscribers, while his vlog channel, Alfie Deyes Vlogs, boasts over 3.6 million subscribers.

In 2014, Alfie expanded his brand by releasing his first book, The Pointless Book, which became a bestseller in the UK. He followed up with two more books in the series and an autobiography, The Scrapbook of My Life, published in 2016.

Personal Life

Alfie has been in a relationship with fellow YouTuber Zoe Sugg (known as Zoella) since October 2012. The couple became engaged in September 2023. They have two daughters: Ottilie Rue Deyes, born on August 29, 2021, and Novie Nell Deyes, born on December 6, 2023.
